How We Work
Curious about how the process works at Proppel? Here’s everything you need to know to get started—from who you’ll be working with to how we hire, where you can apply from, and more.
-
Proppel is a Recruitment Agency, an intermediary between candidates and clients. We act as connectors, so all of our job openings are for companies based in the US or the UK. You’ll be part of their remote team and receive a fixed monthly salary directly from them.
-
We partner with companies of all sizes, from startups to large enterprises. Most of our clients are in the marketing and e-commerce industries, and we also work with agencies and in-house teams across various sectors. Check out some of the companies that trust us here.
-
A company approaches us.
We source candidates and start reviewing applications.
We start contacting candidates that we believe are a good match for the position.
Our recruitment team starts having first interviews with candidates.
If the recruitment team thinks you are a good match, they’ll present the profile to the client.
The client picks between the top 3 candidates whom they’d like to interview.
If the client likes the candidate’s profile, they’ll most likely ask them to do a task.
If the task goes well, you’ll get the offer!
You can see more info on how the process works here.
-
No, candidates are never charged to apply or go through the hiring process with Proppel. Our services are completely free for talent.
We charge the hiring companies a one-time flat fee, calculated based on the candidate’s expected annual salary. This ensures a transparent and fair process for all parties involved.
-
Most international remote roles are offered under a contractor model, and that’s the type of contract we use at Proppel. This is a standard international independent contractor agreement, and it typically includes:
A fixed monthly salary in USD ($).
Set working hours.
Remote work from your home country (no Visa required).
You won’t be a local employee, but a contractor, which often offers more flexibility and higher pay than local roles.
-
No, no Visa is required. All of our roles are fully remote, so you’ll be working from your home country.
-
No, our roles are open to candidates currently living in Latin America or South Africa (due to compatible time zones). Even if you're originally from these regions but currently living elsewhere, you will not be eligible.
Roles & Schedules
Wondering what kind of roles we offer and what the schedule looks like? This section covers the basics: full-time vs. part-time, long-term opportunities, and what to expect in terms of working hours.
-
We only offer full-time, remote positions. This means that you’ll typically work 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday. If a job is part-time or has a different schedule, it will be clearly stated in the job description.
-
Most of our roles are designed to be long-term remote positions. If a role is temporary, that will be communicated during the application process. If you're specifically looking for temporary work, let us know early on so we can match you with the right opportunity.
-
That depends on the client and the role. We try to match working hours with your local time zone whenever possible. However, some roles may require aligning with US or UK business hours due to team collaboration needs. This will be specified in the application process.
-
We specialize in connecting top LATAM talent with remote roles in Marketing and Operations. These are our core focus areas, but we also regularly work on opportunities in Finance, Legal, Customer Success, and other business support functions.
Application Process
Ready to apply? This section walks you through how to submit your application the right way, what to expect during the process, and tips to boost your chances. From where to apply to reapplying after a rejection—we’ve got you covered.
-
You can apply through the job postings listed on our website or social media. Each role includes specific instructions and application forms. Here’s the link to the listing.
-
We strongly recommend submitting your application only through our official website or job listings.
Applications sent via email or social media are much less likely to be seen or considered due to the high volume of candidates we receive daily.
To ensure your CV is reviewed and reaches the right person, always apply through the designated application form on our Careers Page, here.

While you don’t need an official certificate to prove your level, the entire recruitment process, including interviews, written assessments, and communication, will be conducted in English to ensure you're comfortable with the language in a professional setting. Since most of our clients are based in the US or the UK, strong English communication skills are essential for day-to-day work.

After You Apply
Wondering what happens next? This section answers your most common questions after submitting an application, like when to expect a reply, whether you can request feedback, and who to contact if you still need help.
-
Unfortunately, we can’t guarantee a specific timeline for responses. It depends on the role, how urgent it is, and how many candidates have applied. If your profile is a good fit for the position, our team will reach out to you directly through LinkedIn or email to move forward.
After your first interview, you’ll always receive updates as soon as possible. However, if you don’t make it to that stage, you’ll only be notified once the role is closed. We appreciate your patience.
-
If you received a rejection email, it means your application didn’t meet one or more of our mandatory requirements for that specific role. Here are some of the most common reasons:
English level: You indicated that your English proficiency is basic.
Location: You're not currently based in Latin America or South Africa.
Language of application: Your application was submitted in Spanish or Portuguese. We require all applications to be submitted in English, including CV, portfolio, etc.
Experience: You don’t currently meet the required experience listed for the position.
We understand this might be disappointing, but please know that this doesn’t mean you can’t apply again. You're always welcome to apply to other open positions at Proppel that match your profile and meet the requirements.
-
We understand how frustrating that can feel. Unfortunately, due to the large number of applications we receive, we're unable to provide personalized feedback unless you’ve reached the interview stage. If you do move forward in the process, we’ll do our best to share constructive feedback to help you grow.
